The Biblio File
Tips from the Library for Bowdoin faculty, students, and staff.
New Default Search
'CBB Libraries' is now the default search on the Library home page.
Since 1977, Bowdoin Library has collaborated with Colby and Bates College Libraries to make our collective information resources available to all CBB students, faculty, and staff.
We're happy to make it easier than ever to search the CBB catalog.
'Almost everything' is still a search option in the drop-down menu, along with 'Articles and more' and 'Special Collections & Archives.'
Shared Loan Policy
Colby and Bates materials are loaned to Bowdoin students, faculty, and staff for the same duration as Bowdoin's own materials, and typically arrive sooner than MaineCat or ILL requests.
Shared loan policy does not apply to CBB materials requested through ILL or MaineCat.

This oral history project, soon to be available on Bowdoin Digital Collections, provides critical insight into the human implications of the legislation, while amplifying the voices of those directly impacted by the Act and preserving their stories for cultural continuity.

Did You Know?
Some of the 4,000 honors theses recently recently relocated to the Annex.
The Annex, located roughly 2.5 miles off campus, holds around 90,500 requestable items, including 6000 DVDs and Blu-rays - not including Special Collections materials! Items located here must be requested in advance through the catalog, then picked up from the hold shelf, typically the following weekday, at H-L Library.
