Complete online access to the papers of Civil War general Oliver Otis Howard and his brothers, Charles and Rowland, all of whom graduated from Bowdoin College in the 1850s. Containing more than 180,000 digital images, this online resource was generously funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission and the Morton-Kelly Charitable Trust.

An online digital archive of selected letters, photographs, and other materials documenting the career and service of Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain (Bowdoin, 1852). The website was developed collaboratively by Bowdoin students, faculty and staff.
George J. Mitchell Oral History Collection
Online access to the written transcripts and audio recordings of more than 200 oral histories taken between 2008 and 2011 with individuals who have known George Mitchell throughout the years. Interviewees include Senator Mitchell's family, friends, and professional colleagues; Bowdoin College classmates; Senate staffers; and foreign policy specialists.
Crocker Land Expedition Records
Online access to archival records of the Crocker Land Expedition of 1913-1917 that sought to substantiate the 1906 claim made by Robert Peary of a large land mass off of the northwest coast of Ellesmere Island. The online archive includes the digitized journals of expedition captain, Donald Baxter MacMillan, and his wife, Miriam, as well as expedition geologist, botanist, and ornithologist, Walter Elmer Ekblaw, and zoologist Maurice Cole Tanquary. Funded by the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation.
