The George J. Papers of Bowdoin alumni, faculty, and governing boards members, including students diaries and class notes.Those featured are: John Neal, an honorary member of the class of 1822, John Appleton, a member of the class of 1834, Frederick Augustus, a member of 1839, and Henry Chapman, a member of the class of 1866 and later a faculty member. Finally, David Sewell was a governing board member in the early days of Bowdoin College.
