Support and Services: Summer 2021

Hours for all libraries are posted here.  A OneCard is required for building entry. 

Face coverings are required for all users who are not fully vaccinated.

The library’s Take-Out Service will be available throughout the summer.

Along with other campus buildings, the library will remain closed to visitors through the summer.  Information about access in the fall will be forthcoming.   

To renew currently checked-out materials, email us at or call the Circulation Desk at 207-725-3280. Any overdue charges will be waived.

Researchers with inquiries about materials held by Special Collections & Archives should email for information about access and services.

At this time, only Bowdoin faculty, staff and students who are fully vaccinated or participating in Bowdoin’s COVID testing program may visit the Special Collections & Archives' reading room.  Archivists are available to assist with teaching, digitization, and research needs. To request digital delivery from Bowdoin’s physical collection, please use the Document Delivery option on this page.
  1. Your username and password are the same as your Bowdoin email name and password
  2. Please submit a separate request for each unique article or chapter title.
  3. A PDF of each item will be delivered through your Bowdoin Digital Delivery & ILL user account.
  4. If you wish to have any item placed on course reserve, please save it to your desktop and submit using

All of the library’s resource sharing activities have returned to normal operation.  Requests for delivery of items from Bates and Colby may be placed through CBBcat, and from other Maine Libraries through MaineCat.
