Faculty and Staff Delivery of Bowdoin Library Materials
Digital delivery of Bowdoin-held print materials
Using the standard ILL form, faculty and staff may request a digital copy of Bowdoin-held print or microform articles and book chapters. Requesters will receive an email alert for each article that is ready for online viewing/download through their ILL account (30 day access). Our goal is to deliver these digitized materials within two business days (Monday-Friday). Requests are subject to copyright compliance. For more information, contact Guy Saldanha or Jaime Jones.
Delivery of Bowdoin-held print materials to H-L Circulation Desk
Faculty and staff may place holds on monographs, bound periodicals, CDs and some DVDs owned by Bowdoin through CBBcat requesting. Our staff will retrieve these materials and place them on hold at the H-L circulation desk. If an item is held by more than one library, we will always provide the Bowdoin copy if it is available. Users will receive an email alert when their items are ready for pick-up. Our aim is to retrieve materials within 1 business day (Monday-Friday). Art Library and Media Commons collections and single issues of periodicals are not requestable. PLEASE NOTE: H-L Library is the sole campus pick-up location. Materials housed in other campus libraries will be retrieved and held at H-L. For more information, contact Amy Heggie.
