At the bottom of every Films On Demand video page you will find a box containing the persistent URL to that video:
Be sure that when you copy the URL you select the whole thing - the URLs are generally longer than the box itself. A Films on Demand URL will look something like this:
For a segment of a Films On Demand title, the process is the same. Go to the web page for the video you want to link. Choose the particular segment you are interested in by clicking on it in the 'Segments' menu on the right of page. Now, at the bottom of the page, the link box should be labeled "Segment URL:"
A segment URL has an extra bit of information tacked on to the end. Again, be sure to select the whole contents of the link box.
In the BBC Shakespeare collection, choose the play or scene that you want to link by clicking 'View' in the menu.
The video will open in a new window. At the bottom of the page in that new window, below the videoand in small print, you should find the Persistant URL that will allow you to link straight to that play or scene. This is likely to be a LONG URL - it may extend off the page. If so, make sure you scroll all the way to the end as you select it so that you copy the whole thing.
To link to a YouTube video, browse to the youtube page for the video. Click on the 'Share' button that should be immediately under the video. A box will open with the stable URL to that video.
