EndNote Filter Help for WilsonWeb Databases

Filters allow you to import citations from a database into EndNote. The instructions below work for the following WilsonWeb databases:

Follow the steps below to save results and import them into an existing EndNote library:

1. When viewing a results list, check the box next to the results you wish to save, and click on the Print Email Save button
2. Select the Export to RefWorks, Endnote Software, enter which Records to save, select The EndNote Filter, and then click on the Export button

3. You may be promted to choose a program with which to open the file. The default program should be fine, and may say risfile (default), Web Export Helper, or EndNote.
4. The EndNote program will begin, and you will be asked into which library you wish to import the references. You must use an existing EndNote library, which may reside on the local machine, a network drive, or a floppy, usb or zip disk.

If you are prompted to select a filter, choose WilsonWeb.

5. You should now see the references listed in your EndNote library. Other references are temporarily hidden. If you wish to see all of the references in your library choose References / Show All References.
