About ARTstor at Bowdoin College

ARTstor is a growing repository of 300,000+ digital images and related data supporting interdisciplinary studies with special emphasis on collections of art, architecture and archeology. Collections as varied as the MoMA Architecture and Design Collection, the Native American Art and Culture from the National Anthropological Archives, Smithsonian Institution, and the Art History Survey Collection are represented. ARTstor's software tools support a wide range of pedagogical and research uses and allow you to:

  • Search and browse for images
  • View images and related data
  • Create, save and share image groups for uses such as course reserves/image study or research
  • Present lectures both online and offline
  • Add local images to presentations
  • Print and download reference images for student presentations and papers.

Online training and assistance is available on your desktop through ARstor. You can join a scheduled training session by consulting the WebEx website at http://artstor.webex.com.
