The purpose of this guide is to identify library and Web resources that will help you with your sustainable development project. If you have questions feel free to contact Carr (x3545 or cross@bowdoin.edu) or call the Library Reference Desk at x3227.

Books in H-L Library

There are some good books in H-L Library that deal with globalization and sustainable development; some with relevant case studies. Try this preformatted search or do one of your own.

Magazines, Newspapers and Journals

Search these library databases for articles on sustainable development in the context of globalization. Be sure to search for examples of globalization, such as trade, direct investment, technology transfers, etc. in combination with your country. A good portion of material, especially for Iraq and Ecuador, will come from magazine, journal, and newspaper articles.

For help in obtaining articles, ask at the reference desk or call Carr (x3545).
