1,000 Places to See Before You Die: A Traveler's Life List
by Patricia Schultz

This book, a New York Times #1 Bestseller, is a travel-lover's dream. It lists and describes 1,000 different places around the world that are "the best the world has to offer." This is a perfect book for those who need inspiration for travels over the summer, or for those who are stuck at home and want a mental vacation. My current fave: The Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi, Norrland, Sweden. "The Ice Hotel is a magically translucent palace with guest rooms, a cinema, a 45-foot vodka bar using "glasses" crafted from ice, galleries, and a futuristic-looking colonnaded reception hall whose pure ice chandeliers are lit by fiber optics."
