for specimen shipments, invoices from Bowdoin College Board of Trustees, receipts for magazine and newspaper subscriptions,
receipts of all purchases both personal and academic, and miscellaneous
invoices and receipts. Invoices and receipts from Jackson & May in Brunswick,
which was succeeded by Jacob and E.M. Johnson's, account for many domestic items.
Also includes an inventory of the Cleaveland estate
while Cleaveland was still alive, most notably his book and
self-commissioned furniture collections, and invoices concerning the
construction and maintenance of the Cleaveland House, many for services rendered by
Anthony C. Raymond.

the complete property and assets of the Cleaveland estate, correspondence
with the donor of the two silhouettes of Parker and Mrs. Cleaveland, and
biographical notes by Nehemiah Cleaveland. Clippings include obituaries,
information regarding the Cleaveland estate auction in 1954 and the
purchase and renovation of the Cleaveland House. Printed materials include
honorary diplomas, membership certificates and citations from various
German institutions, and Cleaveland's teacher certification card from
Bowdoin College.
