Series Description:
Artwork by Warshaw, including approximately 200 original pen-and-ink
drawings, oil paintings, works in gouache, watercolors, and engravings. There
are metal plates from Warshaw's well-known study of hands, photographs of
some of his exhibits, exhibit catalogs, and clippings relating to
Warshaw's art. Also included is a digital copy of the "Howard Warshaw Notebook" that includes Warshaw artwork as well as text files with a Warshaw biography/bibliography.

Series Description:
Warshaw's notes for lectures he delivered while teaching at the University
of California, Santa Barbara, and the University of Iowa, as well as two
notebooks that combine sketches and diagrams with notes for lectures. A
typescript of "The Painter-Teacher," written by Warshaw describing the
process of painters becoming teachers, is also included.

Series Description:
This series contains copies of material held by the Howard Warshaw
Estate. There are five volumes of collected papers which include letters,
notes, articles, eulogies, legal documents, and manuscripts. There is
also one volume of notes for "Vision Made Visible," a journal by Anna
Raphael Warshaw, Warshaw's mother, and in German, Der weise Professor
Virrus, by Stephan Lackner. In addition, there is a CD-ROM with files
of JPEG images of Warshaw's works.
