Description:
Material spans Mitchell's entire Senate career, from 1980 through 1994. The material is comprehensive and arranged in different ways for access. Press clippings are arranged both by subject and chronologically. Press releases are indexed. Copies of statements and speeches are also found here. Background information files were also prepared for media use and arranged by subject area. Press-related information such as press mailing lists, files tracking phone conversations with members of the press, and scheduling files for use by the press and media are found in the Press Resource Files. The series includes video and broadcast tapes, and audiocassette recordings of Mitchell's radio and television appearances, speeches, interviews and other media events. Recordings are generally indexed by date.

Link to a videotape list collected and maintained by the Senate Democratic Policy Committee office between 1989 and 1994. The list is arranged by date and includes a catalog number, title, and indicates who is featured on the tape. "GJM" refers to Senator George Mitchell.
