Background Note:
Senator Mitchell's administrative staff produced schedules, itineraries, and briefing material relating to events attended by Mitchell. Accepted invitations were added to the Senator's schedule, and staff members created briefing material about the event. Invitations were generally filed with the briefing material for that event.

Description:
Files include briefing books and travel records with accepted invitations, appointment books, office schedules, and travel itineraries. The records are continuous from 1980 to 1994. Detailed information includes speaking topics; people present; the schedule and format of the event; logistical details such as directions, drivers, flight number, ticket purchase, accomodations; and side events such as private meetings with individuals.
