Series Description:

Series Description:
The Bulletin began as a weekly memo listing the recruiters coming to campus. Later, it developed into the "Bulletin of the Outside World," that also included graduate study information, and schedules of workshops and other programs offered by Career Services. Although, primarily concerned with Seniors, the Bulletin also included part-time and volunteer opportunities open to undergraduates. In 1994 the Bulletin began publishing three editions: one for Alumni, one for Seniors, and one for Underclass students. In 1995 the names were changed to CPC Undergrad Newsletter, CPC Senior Newsletter, and CPC Alumni Newsletter.

Series Description:
This series contains various alumni surveys beginning with the class of 1976. The surveys in the 1970's and 1980's were done at the end of senior year and concern career plans. The bulk of the material consists of the original responses of the class of 1982 to a 1992 survey regarding the class of 1982's perception of the quality of the educational experience at Bowdoin. The results of the survey of the class of 1982 were used by the Office of Records and Research in a December 1992 report.

Series Description:
Handouts and posted notices for programs, as well as informational material available to students on such subjects as: resume writing, job search strategies, and interviewing techniques. Also included beginning in 1992 is a profile of the previous year's graduating class which includes data on the career and educational status of students six months following graduation. In addition there are career directories of various Bowdoin clubs, such as the Bowdoin Club of Boston.

Association of Bowdoin Friends Career Survey, 1989

Series Description:
In 1989 the Association of Bowdoin Friends commissioned a survey of local business and professional people who were willing to discuss their career experiences with Bowdoin students who were considering that occupation after graduation. The survey asked for general information about the work and the educational background of the respondents. These replies were kept on file in the Career Services office for students to browse . It was up to the students to contact the individual respondents.
